| - Before I discovered Ocean's out in Mississauga, I would visit this supermarket a couple of times a month as they sold Sazón Goya and various Asian spices and marinades that I couldn't find at my regular grocery store.
If you do decide to go, don't expect anything similar to T & T as it's not the cleanest establishment; hence, the reason I never purchased meat or seafood. I did, however, buy Chinese long beans, squash and bitter melon once but they all ended up having a life span of about three days - obviously not the freshest and, therefore, had to be thrown out. I've also tried to buy fresh Thai chili peppers but they always looked old and sometimes moldy. Compared to other Asian grocers, I actually found it to be quite expensive, which is surprising, given the fact that it's probably never seen a good cleaning or revamping in years. It's always pretty slow in there but that could be due to the days/ times I would stop in.
The employees speak little or no English but that's not really a huge surprise. Contrary to Michelle W's review, I never had a poor experience with any of them; nevertheless, I must say I was appalled with how the senior was treated.
