Tamari has very creative and tasty sushi, a strong wine selection, and an cute outdoor patio. Pittsburgh sushi tends to be not on par with the West Coast in freshness, quality, and reasonableness in price, but Tamari defies this perceived opinion of mine. Every time I have been there, I have enjoyed the food and the wine. Once we even had the alligator with my girlfriend, and although fried, we were happy with it. I am convinced this is the best and most creative sushi place in town.
Downsides: Hard to get last minute reservations in the weekends, and their website is slow.
