  • I went for an underarm and full arm wax at this establishment a couple days ago. I found them through Yelp and looked at their website for prices and saw that it would have come out to $35 so I booked an hour prior. They took me in with no problems and I was waxed by Niloofar. She did a decent job and made nice conversation. However when I cashed out the bill came out to a whopping $75! For underarm and full arm. I immediately complained and told the man cashing me out that the website said $35 as is evident in the screen capture. He said he understood my situation and gave me a $10 discount and charged me $65. I took a pamphlet with the services and after having paid I looked through it. The prices were $10 more than the online price. So it should have been $45. I went back to the man for a thorough breakdown of the costs at which point he pulls out his own pamphlet with prices marked in pen. He tells me underarms are 20 and full arm is 45 plus taxes. He says because of the minimum wage hike he had no choice but to raise prices. Of course I understand this but I had come in looking for a $35 service which was clearly stated online. I would have gone to their competitor if I had known in advance. Edit: After checking the website a day later, they had updated their prices. But they still overcharged me by $15. Early yesterday morning, the man from the salon called my personal cell phone after I left this Yelp review. He threatened to call his lawyers and sue me if I don't take down this review. It was very unprofessional. I am entitled to post an honest review. After work I went back to the salon to retrieve $30 because I didn't think it was fair for them to take my money after treating me that way. When I got there I spoke to Niloofar and another woman who identified herself as the owner. This woman was not pleasant to talk to. She did not address my concerns about being overcharged and refused to believe that they had ever charged $10 for underarms, despite showing her a picture of their own website listing it with that price. She called me a liar and called the man who overcharged me. She spoke to him in another language and then gave me the phone to speak to him. He told me he would give me back my $30 if I removed this review, but she took back the phone and told me she is not giving me back any of my money, and that I may keep this review here.
