  • WOWSA! I still don't understand why, when we live in the desert, it's so hard to find any ice cream, much less good ice cream or chain ice cream shops. Gelato Dolce Vita lives up to all the glowing reviews.We purchased the $5 for $10 Yelp deal, which made our visit even better. The gelato was amazing! It truly had the quality of gelato you find in Italy. The African dark chocolate was to die for! I also like the fact the portions were generous. I find too many gelato places charge an arm and a leg and then are stingy with the scoops. The Italian grocer on the other side was great too. Too many Italian grocers have overpriced items I can find at World Market or even at Fry's. Dolce Vita has hard-to-find items at reasonable prices. I would love to come back and try the sandwiches. The only negative is they are not closer. 2nd location in North Phoenix??
