| - IMPORTANT--MUST READ- There will be 12 people per room in Scottsdale. If your group is LESS than that, the organizers won't tell you, but you will be joined by a certain number of strangers. These strangers COULD be 2nd timers, and could ruin your ENTIRE experience.
This couple joined the 10 of us (from work) LATE and hogged all the clues. They clearly knew the early clues but were a bit lost on the last few clues. This could have been an awesome team-building experience but I felt like we were all robbed. I wish there were a way to prevent this, but clearly the organizers haven't figured it out. Tip: If they come LATE, they've probably done it before. Do NOT let them take over the whole event. You will have to be forceful here, because otherwise they will steamroll you.
Also, 12 people is excessive. 6-8 tops is ideal. Too many cooks in the kitchen, and some people just wind up watching, not actually participating. $40 to watch other people solve clues? I don't THINK so....
If not for that couple, and IF it were 6-8 people only, I'm positive I would have had a GREAT experience and recommended it to others. Not only would I NOT recommend the event, I would ask for a refund if I had personally paid for it. (but like I said work paid for it).
