I gave this time before a review to see how my hair ended up (about a month). I went to Dolce to lighten up my hair. I paid over $150 for balayage that you could barely notice and more brassy. I showed the stylist some photos of what I wanted and relayed repeatedly need to get rid of brassiness (often a problem for me). She was very apologetic and set me up to come back with someone else. I showed this person the same original pics which shows dark roots and darker woven through hair and a pretty cool blonde at the ends. I didn't have to pay for a repeat of the first service but had to pay another $100 for darker roots. I ended up with a horrible color. I have brassy blonde ends and something resembling dark blonde up top with some brassy throughout whole thing and some splotchy coloring. Not only that but I spent two years growing out my hair and the ends were so fried had to cut over an inch off. Now I do have very fine hair but I'm sure they both saw this and I told them both that I wanted to make sure hair didn't get damaged. It's really fragile. I would've rather been refused service than end up with what I did. I now have shorter hair and a bad color job. I'm so disappointed. I'm sure plenty of people are happy and it's a beautiful place. Take my experience with a grain of salt. I've gone to other places with the same situation in the past and ended up with beautiful color and got to keep my hair (not have to cut it) so I know it's possible (I moved across the country and far from other salon where I used to go). Now I have to put a temporary rinse on my hair each day and lots of conditioning treatments to prevent cutting off even more. I won't be returning. Just make sure you are clear with them?? I pose that as a question because I KNOW I was. I've always been explicitly clear about what I want, explaining with lots of photos and any hair issues or tendencies and I still ended up horribly unhappy.
