  • Had an appointment for a blown tire at 10 am. Car was not taken from lot until 1130. At 1230, they told me I needed 4 new ones because the tread wear was different. The 50000 mile warranty tires had only 10000 miles on them, and of course they didn't have those good 150$ tires in stock anymore, so they offered me cheap 70$ tires as a replacement because that's all they had in 18 inch, and it would take weeks to get in any other tires. I just agreed because I hope to get rid of car soon anyway, and I just wanted it fixed after sitting there, and they said they'd "knock" 300$ off the price for me. The tires are under warranty, I shouldn't have to pay anything for them!!! Hindsight is 20/20, I know. Plus I have a Pep Boys credit card, the only reason I come here. Two hours later, they call me and tell me they just realized they don't have two of the tires in stock. ??? WTF have they been doing for two hours? They had to have the other two delivered and it would be another 2 hours. 2 1/2 hours later, car is done. 6 hours for new tires. I get in my car and there is mud everywhere. All over the floor mats, no paper put down like every other place in the world, mud all over the door and side of car inside. They also just threw the dirty donut in the trunk on top of things I had in the trunk, couldn't even put it back properly. I have come here in the past, and never spend less than 4 hours waiting, even with an appointment and on a weekday.
