Even with Amazon and other online bookstores I can't live without Barnes & Noble. There is something so great and dorky about wandering around for an excessive amount of time and seeing all of the great book options in person.
This location is well organized and uncluttered. The staff at the desk in the middle are really helpful in finding specific books upon request. I've never waited long at the register and usually find plenty of cashiers available. There is a Starbuck's inside which is convenient for some caffeine and pastry.
I've always found the books I come in to buy are in stock. The sale area at the front is fun to check out and sometimes there are good items to be found here. The children's section is large with plenty of books and toys available. I love this area for Christmas and birthday presents. The middle tables leading to the reference desk are always stocked with new books and top sellers which is a great place to start if looking for a good read.
Sure, Barnes and Noble can be a little pricier than online book sellers, but nothing beats being able to flip through and view the book in person first.
