  • When my partner and I were originally looking for a snappy new sofa-bed we went to West Elm, and were thoroughly disappointment with their selection at the Canadian store, so we walked on over to Queen West to see what our other options were. And we came across Design Republic. With their beautiful couches. Just beautiful. We returned a few times and the staff were incredibly helpful, but also willing to just give us space to shop, and test out each couch's suitability for spooning. When we finally decided on the Michelle, staff were wonderful and showed us all of the extensive fabric options. They didn't rush us once to decide just kept showing me more beautiful fabric options as I tested the softness of each one on my face. Every interaction I had with every member of the store after the sale was equally lovely. When I returned to pay the remaining balance on the couch, staff quelled my fears over the damage my cat might do. When I followed up about delivery a lovely woman named Ann followed up promptly and and with great courtesy. Even the delivery men were great! They were well within the delivery window and had my couch up and in my apartment within 15 minutes. Altogether a wonderful experience from our first step in the store. I'm almost glad I didn't check yelp before I made the purchase because it would have scared me away from what was a completely pleasant experience. Custom sofa bed took just over six weeks from order to delivery. I would definitely shop here again.
