| - I was on vacation and had a severe tooth pain for about four days. When I got back home, the next morning I woke up with half my face swollen. It was a Saturday, so unfortunately I had to wait until Monday to even get to the dentist (went to Urgent Care in the meantime). I was able to schedule a dentist appointment for Monday morning and when I went at 9:30 am they told me the problem would have to be referred to an oral surgeon, where I was referred to Dr. Thompson! Because of the urgency, his office was able to get me in that very same day at 1:30pm (which I was extremely grateful for because of the severity of the situation and the pain).
First of all, the staff at Litchfield Endodontics was fantastic. The front office staff was welcoming and very helpful, his Dental Assistant (not sure if that's the technical name) was friendly, made me feel at ease, was talkative, had a great personality and very informative..can't say enough great things about her :) , and Dr Thompson who was amazing. I would say my condition was considered an emergency and he immediately took x-rays and figured out the problem right way! Instead of making me panicked, he took charge of the situation. He prescribed me an additional antibiotic which took the swelling down in a day!
I know it's considered his "job", but you can tell Dr Thompson really enjoys what he does. He knew how important it was for me to get in for an appointment that day and is so accommodating with your schedule. He made me feel comfortable in an extremely uncomfortable situation. He talked with my husband and answered the hundred questions he asked without hesitation.
I have my next appointment in a couple weeks and look forward to having this severe situation taken care of in the hands of the right people!
Thanks Litchfield Endodontics team :)!
