  • This is why charlies is pretty much one of the worst gay bars to go to in phoenix. Out of the the 5 times I've been to Charlie's in 7 months since I moved to the city I've had to walk out 3 times beside because it took more than 30 minutes to get a drink ( most of the time ON A SLOW NIGHT!) Seriously their staff just doesn't give a shit. I was here this past Saturday and after waiting forever to order a drink the bartender had to grab bottles off the shelf and show them to me to make sure he was making the right drink because he barely spoke any English. The next round I tried to order after waiting about 25 minutes a bartender looked me straight in the eye and asked me if I needed anything and when I replied "yes I need to order a few drinks " he simply turned around and started taking someone else's order and completely ignored me no matter what I did to try to get his attention. I'm officially done with this place. It's a shame that they get so much business because they are always going to be open and people are going to go in and get 3rd rate treatment because they think they can get away with it. If you really care about the quality of your evening go to stacys, bar 1, or hoof it all the way to Scottsdale and go to bs west. You'll have a much better night.
