  • This place is pretty divey but seems to be the only splash of local culture among all of the other places on the strip. Located right behind the Flamingo and next to Bally's its a small bar on the end of a strip mall. I imagine this is where the locals go after their shifts are over working at the other more commercial places on the Vegas strip. It is small, filled with video gambling stations and has a mix of people you would not even expect. Despite the fact that for a approximately 2500 sq. ft. area there were 7 armed security personnel, it was quite a good crowd. The prices here are dirt cheap, I think we were able to get round of shots, drinks and even hot dogs for $25. This is a nice change because before that we came from the bar with the same combination (minus the hotdogs) were $100. The hotdogs are cheap and actually tasted better than I expected, they also had a tray of condiments to dress them with ready for you to go. So, with all that in consideration, Stage Door, is what you expect it to be if you are going for a divey local scene and despite the unease of it being guarded like fort knox; I think we found our new after conference hang out spot.
