Found Public Storage on Yelp and wasn't disappointed. There are a bunch of locations all over the Valley (geographically, it's really a basin, but that sounds dorky).
There was one close by our house but the only sizes they had available were too expensive for our needs. I found the 19th Ave location was running an online special for a 4x4 for $25/month. Perfecto.
The 4x4 is actually more like 3'10" by 4'10". You'll also have to take into consideration the storage unit's garage style door. That takes up space.
I like the storage unit because it's nice and cool (climate controlled) and it's freakin' tall. It must be close to 10' to the ceiling.
The gentleman helping me was Ken. He was totally cool. Went the extra mile to help me out. Didn't have anything to complain about. Ken made the process nice and simple.
Just to let you know, the prices PS advertises is just the beginning, so plan according. The monthly base price will eventually include mandatory insurance (min. $11/month) as well as taxes. Also, your first month will include admin fees ($20+) and their proprietary lock (&10+). So once again, plan accordingly. I took advantage of a $1 (yes, one dollar) first month's promotion. So, move-in expenses were low.
Happy Storing Phoenicians!
