| - On 10/28/2014, I got the second worst haircut of my 62 years at High Rollers. I had been waiting to get my hair cut until I came to Las Vegas so I could go to the barber shop featured on one of the Pawn Stars episodes.
Before going there I washed & combed my hair like I like to wear it, so the barber would have an idea how to cut my hair. When it came my turn I told the barber what I wanted. Short on the sides, but not with white sidewalls & the top, short, but just long enough to comb good. The barber apparently attempted to give me a pompadour. When I left my hair was full of pomade & my wife laughed at how I looked, when she saw it.
So, we went back to our room where I washed all that goop out of my hair, but the pomade pompadour was just the beginning. When I tried to comb my hair as I normally do, I found there was no way to make it look good. When I went to another barber the same day, he advised I had a "curtain" on one side and a very uneven cut on the other. He said if he did what would be necessary to fix it I wouldn't have enough hair left to comb. Without going that far, he did what he could to make it look acceptable.
It has been almost two weeks and I have to struggle every day to make my hair look the way I like for it to look. I'm in Las Vegas for three more weeks, and I intend to go back to the barber who attempted to fix my hair cut if my hair has grown out enough for him to have enough to work with before I head back home.
Never again will my shadow cross the door frame at High Rollers. Also, I caution anyone who is thinking of going there to beware. You may not get the hair cut you expect, nor one to your liking.
