I love this gem of a cool place! Bookstores like BOOKS-A-MILLION are the complete antithesis of anonymously shopping online (which i'm a fan of too). In other words, you'll get a smaller selection, BUT you feel connected and human, being in an actual 'brick and mortar' bookstore with actual shelves amongst other patrons that are perusing their selection in a community-like setting. I've met a lot of interesting people here too over the years. The way things are headed, these bookstores will go the way of the dodo bird unless we start supporting them by shopping there. I love the fact that they have a huge magazine selection, a children's toy (educational toys too) section, discounted DVD's and CD's, other novelties, and a coffee and pastry shop. It's amazing that they are able to include all of these in a store that is perhaps one-third the size of a Barnes & Noble.
