  • This is funny, sad, and true. My wife and I had always rented from national companies and thought we'd give to local business while saving some money. Seemed simple enough but boy were we WRONG. If it seems too good it is. I wish I could tell you how many lies I ended up catching these guys in but it's embarrassing for me. Airport Shuttle? Sure we got one (nope), well pick u up (nope, you'll take a cab and we'll charge you extra), and we have after hours drop off (nope just access to an airport lot and we'll charge you to leave us our car there). They'll say they are a reputable company and have 800 or 1200 cars (told me both numbers separately), but their lot fits about 10 old cars, and all are pieces of crap. About $30 in fees on top of agreement price, much cheaper than anywhere else - NOPE - we ended up paying more than most of the original quotes we got from national rentals but instead got a 10 year old smelly car that made weird noises and guzzled gas...Oh and they say they can accommodate things like drop offs, shuttles, extra drivers, going out of state, but ANY service they provide as part of the process, they charge you ridiculous rates for without EVER telling you - even now after we're done they're avoiding sending us an itemized bill or talking through details on phone. Trouble is after a long flight your judgment sucks. As soon as you get to office after long plane trip and taking a cab there from airport because their shuttle is "out of service," you just want a car (I did). I knew it didn't feel great but thought we'd just stick it out, I mean how bad could it be??? Answer: BAD!!! They speed you through signing forms- which all car rentals do BUT they sneak a sheet into the process that I didn't have a second to read until we had been ushered out to our 2000 Impala and were off the lot. I had signed a sheet saying we'd pay fees for everything you can think of and some things I couldn't make up. AND By that time they'd also charged $250 as a deposit on our card, without telling us. They act real so you think they are, but they're not doing what you're used to from normal rental companies, they're scamming you every second. And I quote... They quoted me $129 for a week and said they'd charge us about $30 in fees. After the week our bill was $250 and because everything was processed after we were back home our only recourse is to dispute from a distance. When I called to ask them, they said our reception was making it hard to hear, that they were too busy, anything to avoid answering questions like real men. Good ol fashion bad people. Not sure? Just call and talk to them for 5 minutes, especially the blow-hard owner. I made the mistake of thinking he was legit and lord was I wrong. He lied about pricing, hid the truth about everything I asked about, and my 2-3 calls since renting -even while we were driving the car - involved him yelling and mocking me for nitpicking, that he didn't have time to go over my bill, and that his "accounting team wasn't there." Uhuh sure... But just trust me and call them, just ask them reasonable questions and listen how they/he will get so heated, eventually he'll get so upset like he's 5-year old bully threatening to take his ball home. Now that it's over I'm gonna call him from time to time, just for a laugh cause he's such a guerrilla. YOU ARE BETTER!!! This place is not cheaper than others, it's just CHEAP as in fake, crappy, stinky, and run by scammers who pray on tourists who think they're legit. You are better than this and should spend your money elsewhere, you'll save money and peace of mind. Peace!! The worst thing for us was no matter how much fun we had, we always felt in the back of our minds that our car could break, that we'd be stranded, that we'd be charged like crazy (which we would have - even more than we were) and that we'd have to pay for repairing the car....It just made for a really crappy part to our otherwise great trip. Sad... Hate to say it but more than being upset about the bill which I am, I just feel sad that some people lead lives like this. They are what's wrong with this world, I'm sorry to say ;( But hey, maybe you'll have better luck than we did ;)
