| - I was a little bit leery after reading reviews on here, but I made an apt. anyways because my last primary care quit taking my insurance. The building is big, but I was checked in at the first desk I approached, then the gentlemen gave me clear directions on where I should go. I was there early but still had to wait in line as there was some confusion with the patient before me. I filled out new patient paperwork, then had to wait to be called in. I think we should all assume that we are going to have to wait, as it's impossible to gauge what will happen with each patient.
I have a fear of the blood pressure machine (don't ask, I don't get it at all) so of course, my BP was high. The 2nd time they took it, high again. The third time...the medical assistant came in humming, and talked to me so I couldn't focus on my mild panic attack. Her name is Veronica Shepard. What a true blessing she is, and she is in the right calling because I will remember her forever, just because she is so caring, and knew that I needed my mind distracted from focusing on that deadly BP machine...lol. It helps that she has a nice, soothing voice to hum, but the truth is...she cared, and she understood, and she didn't think I was a silly fool. She helped me.
My new Primary Care is Sung Cho - she's just as awesome. She is outgoing, cheery, and was able to cover everything I needed in about 15 minutes.
They have a lab in the building, so if you know you're going to need bloodwork, fast and walk in. I unfortunately didn't know there was a lab there, so I'll go tomorrow. Now, I know. So convenient.
I hate going to the Dr. and these folks made it so much easier. Thanks for taking care of me and my silly fears.
