| - I don't know why everyone is always on the Flamingo's case. This place was awesome and very classy when I stayed here.
Room: My girl and I tried this ruse in order to try to get a free upgrade, since all the other yelpers raved about how eazy it was to get an upgrade. WRONG: moded. We got shafted with a regular room. Room had a couple of dirty towels, but we tossed them to the side. After our room was cleaned, we found a cup of water that the cleaner left behind. Walls are thin, you can hear the vacuuming in the morning, you can also hear ppl doing things at night, too. ;) Nice views from any room in the hotel.
Casino: It's crackin 24/7! Some other casino's seem tame at night, but the Flamingo always has ppl roaming around waiting to lose their last month's salary. I didn't know how to play card games, so I stuck to slots. On my last nite there, I went up to one of those tables with the signs that said "Ask me how to play". Even though it was 1am, the guy was very polite and helpful.
Pool: The pool was more of a human-stew. 4-ft deep water, no more. I guess I shouldn't expect much since it's just for ppl to lounge. The slide was crackin, tho! Screw the GO pool with the topless girls. I'd rather save my 10 buxxx and get my jollys from the kiddie slide.
Room service: How delicious! We got omelets, yogurt, apple juice, Philly Cheese steak, and sliced bananas. Everything was delicious and very nicely prepared. You know what they say, the eyes eat first. (The sliced bananas didn't seem caramelized tho, but maybe it was cause it was 2am when we ordered them.)
Couple more tidbits:
Classic hotel with modern renovations.
They shine pink lights on the exterior at nite. How purty!
It's not snooty like the other hotels. coughmiddleagedpplattheWynncough.
