| - Below average food and unremarkable location and service.
I came here for lunch with a couple of buddies, expecting some decent pizza, albeit nothing spectacular. I left thoroughly unimpressed.
The location is, as I noted above, unremarkable. Both the inside and the outside of the place are pretty worn down. We sat in a booth near the bar. There are a couple of TVs over the bar that are tuned to sports. Decent for watching a game while eating some pizza.
I ordered a veggie pizza (maybe that was my mistake...), opting to forego the lunch special option. One of my friends ordered a salad, and the other ordered a pizza and a salad. The salads came out first, and they looked pretty bad. Nothing looked fresh, and the lettuce was all pale green iceberg. I was pretty happy that I hadn't ordered the salad, and I figured I was good with the pizza.
Eventually my pizza came out, and I ended up being disappointed with it as well. Size-wise, it was about what I expected, and it was enough to fill me up. One positive. Other than that, it was just a disappointment. There weren't many vegetables on my veggie mountain pizza. I like a well-topped pizza, and this was anything but. But the worst part about it was that the pizza was cold. It wasn't just not piping hot, it actually wasn't even warm. So the crust had already gone past what a pizza crust should be and was at tough and chewy before I even took my first bite. Again, disappointing.
I won't come back here, not when there are many better options for pizza out there.
