| - I am very satisfied with my experience with El Cheapo. I'm removing one star because they were one step away from perfect, but more on that later.
I came across them on BlogTO and called them for a simple move of several pieces of furniture up and down a few flights of stairs, mid-month, between two central TO locations, cca 1.5 hours in all:
- The booking process: they were courteous, clear, and got back to me promptly (note I was not booking during a peak time); we arranged a move 4 days after the day I called, which was exactly the date I wanted; they reconfirmed their quote and terms both via phone and in writing via e-mail; I think they try to be professional about the exactly what you will be billed for and how the process will work in order to manage expectations and avoid surprises
- Moving day: the fellows arrived exactly on time, were friendly, pleasant, efficient, flexible and cooperative about moving a couple of extra pieces around; they got to work right away and didn't dawdle
- The bill: they billed me fairly, exactly as agreed when booking, no unpleasant surprises; it was handy to be able to add a tip to my credit card payment
- The price: not sure if they were the cheapest around or not, but based on a bit of shopping around, I found them reasonable and fair.
Why have I subtracted one star? Because my beige couch got dirty during the move, in their truck or when they were moving up the stairs. Granted, I neglected to ask them to wrap it. But then again, *they're* the pros, and *they* should have thought of this for me!
In all, I think they are serious and professional, and would recommend you add them to your short list for local moves.
