  • Come for the cheese curds, that's about it. I've gotten food here a couple of times (but really, just cheese curds) but this past weekend after the farmer's market was my first time actually eating in the restaurant. It was one of my friend's first time in Madison and we were debating between here or Tipsy Cow, but we felt that she needed to experience curds from here first. When we went it was about 1PM on a Sunday and the line was out the door. It was a 30-40 minute wait for a group of 4 of us so we put our name down and made a final loop around the capitol and by then our table was ready so really it was more like 15-20 minutes -- not too bad. Service was great, food was subpar. Typical American food, burgers, etc. We got cheese curds with a side of ranch to start and like usual, they did not disappoint. I ordered a burger (the one that has the egg and bacon on it, I'm bad with remembering names) cooked medium. I'm not really a meat eater but for some reason it just sounded particularly good. It was a decent burger, but nothing to write home about. Served with the typical lettuce and pickle and fries on the side. The main reason I wanted this burger was for the sunny side up egg which was unfortunately pretty underdone. I enjoy a runny yolk, but when the whites are still runny it kind of grosses me out. Everyone else in our group came to the same consensus that our food was just fine. Would I come back? Only for curds or for people who are visiting Madison for the first time.
