| - Love the Market - it's pretty much a 'must see' as a Toronto tourist - and should be on every Torontonians list of places to shop, at least occasionally!
It's a magical place filled with food vendors : asian, meat, fish, bakery, preserves, gourmet, dry goods, jewellery, chocolates - you name it, you can probably find it there. There is also the occasional non food vendor (in the lower level) where you may find jewellery, scarves, clothing.
For tourists - it's a great place to go to get lunch - for example, bagels and lunch meat - or potatoe pancakes and cabbage rolls.... or cookies and cake! :-) Tourists who are driving to Toronto may want to pack a cooler to take home meat and cheese products. Are leave room in the cargo area for a shipment of bread from vendor Future Bake Shop. Yum!
When we lived in Toronto (North York) we used to use this market as motivation for beneficial exercise, biking from Edwards Garden on the bike trail almost to the back side of this market for breakfast. I miss it!
