I returned to my quest to find the greatest ramen in Las Vegas this week. The specialty that I noticed at Ramen KoBo was the spice level. I love spicy so I naturally had to go fire for the level. I then went with my go to tonkatsu and added some spicy roe as I'd never seen that as a topping option.
Price is the same as anywhere else in Vegas. I feel that the chefs have all just called each other up and set a price to $9 with additional topping prices varying.
The soup itself was the spiciest broth I have ever had - fantastic. My eyes and nose were running which is what I hope for when ordering top spice level. The noodles weren't that great compared to other ramen spots and the chasu, though good, was portioned very small. The roe were quite a nice addition so I'm glad I added that in. It gave the dish a nice extra layer. This ramen also included some ground prom which I didn't notice at first but was good since it made me feel less ripped off meatwise by the lack of chasu. This ramen was smaller than most with less noodles as your typical Vegas ramen front. I actually like that better because it seems that most places waste the entire bowl on noodles and less on extras whereas KoBo puts more spirit into the variety of toppings.
KoBo is the best spot in town for a spicy broth. It will fill you up but won't get you bloated. They have salmon roe which I liked but the noodles weren't the greatest. Overall it filled my ramen craving and would be my #1 destination if I'm looking to burn my stomach on tonkatsu ramen.
