| - After touring Davidson College, we were famished and decided to try the Pickled Peach, despite a long line. You order at a counter, then choose an outside table at which to dine. We moved through the ordering line quickly, then sat down for a fairly long wait, right during the heart of the lunch hour. But, the wait was worth it! I had one of the tastiest salads I have ever had, with fresh mozzarella, sliced peaches, arugula, fresh mint and a peach balsamic dressing. My daughter said her grilled cheese is one of the best sandwiches she has had anywhere, and my husband loved his roast beef sandwich. The food is locally sourced, and the bread all tastes homemade. I hope to eat there again, definitely worth a drive!
