rev:text	If you are looking for a place to put your head at night while fulfilling the loyal need to stay at Hilton Honors properties (it is a branded Doubletree) when in Sin City, The Tropicana will suffice. It is, however, in need of churching itself up a bit if it wants to compete with many of the other huge properties on The Strip. This pig has seen better days and the lipstick is coming off in areas. I will say that the rooms are bright and clean in the Paradise Tower but there are some oddities that are not up to Doubletree standards. Upon checking in, there was 1 full set of towels in the room and 2 additional bath sized towels. Kind of weird since the room was booked for 3 people and they clearly left the correct number of bath towels but just seemed like they forgot the rest. There are also no coffee makers in the room. I called to ask and they told me they would run one up to me which they did. They told me that they are happy to provide one upon request. I've never been in a Doubletree that did not have the in the room. Also, if you look at the photos attached, it is clear that while the room was freshly decorated, some of the fixtures were really overlooked. Finally, the pool hours are 10a-5p sharp. Not a minute earlier or later. Odd. It is 85 degrees, sunny, and daylight savings time but they do not seem to want to have their pool open very much. Overall, the rooms were clean so I would stay here again since that really is my only expectation in a Vegas room. However, I am not really a gambler and would like to see the attention to detail and amenities be a little more up to Doubletree par in the future.
