| - I thought the class was good and the instructor Tomer did know what he was talking about. However, I needed this certification because I'm a group fitness instructor. Some facilities accept this certification, but at least one of them requires a certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. While they do use the information from them, they are not providing a AHA or Red Cross CPR Certification.
While the class was short and the videos were good, there was little hands on practice. I remember in the actual Red Cross training we did a few simulated emergencies...assessment, preparation, CPR (compressions and breaths), AED and new assessment. We talked through it here, but really didn't get the feeling for an actual emergency.
This is good training for practical use as a civilian. However, if you need the actual Red Cross CPR certification, there is no short cut to going to the Red Cross.
I'm not bad mouthing this company at all, their training is good and correct. However, it doesn't completely meet my needs. I didn't know that walking into it. Maybe if they state up front, we provide practical training but do not provide the actual Red Cross or American Heart Association certification that would have been helpful to me.
