  • Yesterday was the last straw for my boyfriend and I. I will no longer be a customer at ANY Albertsons! I have multiple problems with Albertsons every time I have visited their locations. Which isn't very often I only stop by when I'm in a hurry because it's closer than Smiths(my all time favorite store) will be giving them a 5 star rating and review right after this. So let's go back to yesterday. Boyfriend and I go to customer service to at around 2 pm not to busy we were helped right away! Cheryl the lady behind the counter ask how she can help us we proceed to explain that we need a money order for $1350 she thought we had asked for $13.50( who gets a money order for that?) we corrected her and she proceeds to say okay we'll have to do three different money orders. We knew that and continued with our transaction. She pulls out a blank piece of paper and writes down the amounts for each money order $500, $500, and $350. We then explained that we will be paying with two separate cards after she had gotten us all rang up for the money orders. She then had to call over an associate to help her because she was new and didn't know how to split a transaction on two different cards. The lady came over explained to her and continued our transaction we slide both of cards they are approved. Then the two ladies turn to the money order machine look at each other like dumb and dumber and ask if the machine is back up and running!! Mind you they have already taken our $1350. At this point I am a little aggravated a trip that should have taken no more than 5-10 minutes has turned into a fiasco. Now the lady is telling me that they'll have to refund the money back to our cards. That's not happening because my boyfriends card puts a 48 hold on any money returned to his card and my work pay card only allows money to be put on from our partner companies. So with that being said they go get a Manager to help us. One of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. After about 10 minutes of waiting she finally shows up with her resting bitch face and completely ignores me, yet I am the costumer and she should have came directly to me to see what the problem was. Walks over to the machine and says to her employee "they aren't getting cash back the money is going on their cards. I say excuse me ma'am! So I could explain to her the situation with our cards. No response completely ignores me and the lady next to her says she wants to speak with you. And she turned to her employee and says I'm busy and holds her hand up in my face!! At this point I'm fuming my boyfriend is on the phone I ask him to get off the phone bc she would not listen to me. He then proceeds to get off the phone and his stern Marine voice finally got the old hags attention. She then tried to explain to us why we were not allowed the cash back and why it needed to be put on our cards. We then AGAIN had to explain our card situation to us. She then cuts us off again and says well we don't accept those cards here! Oh so your company doesn't accept FDIC acclaimed Visa cards?? At this point my boyfriend who has business degrees gives her a little informative class on banks and the FDIC. By this time she is flabbergasted and gives us the cash back to go PAY OUR RENT and ushers is out of the store! oh mind you this, the "manager" we dealt with Melissa Schaefer is the CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER! If you are the customer service manager you'd think she know how to talk and treat CUSTOMERS. Nope she only got her title as such by being with the company for so long and working up the chain. She doesn't deserve that shiny little managers badge at all! Will be contacting corporate with a follow up complaint.
