I was up in Markham for the weekend with some friends. My friend wanted to try the Buddha Jumping Over Wall soup so we went there for lunch. It was dimsum in the morning but they also serve that soup. We ordered the soup and some typical dimsum fare. Dim sum was nothing spectacular and I found a surprise in our cheurng fun. I pointed out there was a hair on it they replaced it with another one and apologized. I was pretty grossed out.
The Buddha Jumping Over Wall soup has lots of "pricey" ingredients like a small abalone, dried scallops, fish maw, sea cucumber, black chicken, mushroom etc. It tastes just like the chicken soup that my mom makes at home. It was nothing extraordinary and definately wasnt worth the price tag.
