  • I like signage. Big or little as long as I notice them so I can read them. OK, I'm not going to bitch too much, since after all, I like Calgary and its gateway to Banff, Purcells and Helicopter skiing, and all these major road arteries that end in "Trail" rather than "Avenue". OK back to signs. In looking for the WestJet ticketing counter, the floor map indicates where it should be except, I didn't notice it was one floor above me. In returning the car, the car-rental signs are these itty-bitty signs on the left just as you go pass their drive way---OK, I need to go around. On the second pass, you notice, yes there are bigger signs, but above my short stature eye level. In looking for the food court, the signs fail to say that my fav "A&W" Burger is on the other side of the security zone on Concourse D. Finally, in looking for the American Airlines ticketing booth, I traversed the upper departure floor 3 times, shouldering my 30 pound back back and my 30 pound roll on carry on bag. At first the gentleman at Canadian Airlines says, it's on the other side sir; when you get to the other side 12minutes later, the KLM Dutch Airlines people says it's in the other end. 30 minutes later and the finality of it all, the United lady says, it's near the American Flags. ---Honkkk Errrrr---. All are wrong. The middle screen terminals have what appear to be screen savers for the airline that is currently on duty. This Saturday PM's case, it is United. American's screens magically disappear because, they have no flight on Saturdays after 3pm. Urghhhh. I guess I won't be asking a live person if I could ski an extra day in the Canadian Rockies.... ....I better watch out tomorrow for signs that says "Avalanche Danger".
