  • came here for popfest to see thee oh sees and the fresh and onlys. what was smart about the setup was in order for there to be less time in between the last two bands, the headlining band had their instruments set up on the floor, away from the stage and ready to play. i wish more places would do this, as it kept the energy level constant. people went crazy, i mean really crazy, prompting the singer to ask "what is wrong with you people?" but i think that was in reference to the guy who, for some reason, decided to take his shirt off and jump on top of the crowd. still, it's refreshing to see an entire room of people dancing at a show instead of just standing around posing (i'm looking at you NYC.) the venue is on top of a restaurant and bar. i can't imagine the racket the people below must have heard with the floor shaking from everyone jumping up and down, but i think the restaurant portion was closed by then (the shows start on the later side.) drinks are cheap.. 3.50 shots 4.50 mixed drinks. they didn't have bourbon. other than that i really liked the place.
