  • I am mortified to say the least! I try to support local small businesses as much as possible! However, I JUST got off the phone with this store. I was recommended here by another friend who has children my son's age. A week ago, I first tried to contact this store due to my 11 yr old outgrowing his bicycle's at the rate of approximately one per year (give or take) and we promised him one for his birthday. I would like to make sure we buy the correct size so I first called the store a week ago and received voicemail. I could not leave a message due to "the voicemail box being full." On the website it states you need to "schedule an appointment for a fitting" so I filled out the form for my son to have a "fitting" not having any idea this did not mean to measure him and get fitted for the correct size bicycle. I waited a week with no response after a week, I called again this afternoon. Apparently I interrupted the guy working there by calling! I was treated so rudely over the phone! The guy (sounded older) literally yelled at me, interrupting me and not allowing me to fully complete any question. When I simply said, " I went to the website and filled out..." he interrupted me, became irate and literally yelled at me saying, "you shouldn't have filled out the form, you don't need a fitting, you need something else (like I should know this AND he never did tell me what I needed) when he stopped yelling, he huffed like I was a "bother" because I was trying to spend money in his shop and with a flippant attitude instructed me to just "bring your kid in sometime!" When I again tried to ask about the online form I filled out he interrupted me and yelled , "most likely no one even read your email!" (His attitude was like, your just a stupid mom and aren't going to spend enough money for me to waste my time and breath on!) Needless to say, I WON'T be stepping foot in this place after the way I was treated! Also, I would NEVER take my 11 yr old in and allow this rude, rude man to also treat him like dirt! This guy got so ugly (and loud) simply by a phone call that I am thinking maybe dealing with the public isn't the best fit for him! It's disgusting how trying to support local small businesses can bite you on the backside and almost make you feel forced to go to large chain stores just to be treated with a little respect even if you have to sacrifice keeping the small businesses alive. Apparently this store could care less! 10/17:2017 UPDATE: After posting this review, I also posted on their Facebook page. I received no response from anyone from the store, (until today...7 months later!) however, I did receive a private message regarding the nastiness of this person to other people as well. I still have the message and will be happy to share it if needed.
