| - Considering the size of the city of Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History is extremely impressive. I have ended up here quite a few times in the last year thanks to babysitting, and I actually need to come back alone. There are parts I really love, like the mineral room, that I want to spend more time in. And with my CMU student ID, the visit is free!
It is really easy to get lost in this museum and miss things. So keep your eyes opened and look around.
There are a lot of kids focused activities, but that doesn't bother me. Most of the kids are super excited to be there, and who can blame them? The museum is awesome. If you are a mom or dad, be sure to check out the summer camps. The girl I watch LOVES them, and they are all day long!
Whether you are coming to see the dinosaurs, mummy tombs (Which I have not been able to find on the last two trips. Fail.), Native American history exhibits, stuffed dead animals, or minerals and gems, you will have a fantastic time at this museum!
