A bustling, lively atmosphere couldn't save Vin Santo's food.
The decor is tacky, the waitstaff tired, and the food dreadful. Seafood ravioli was CLEARLY of the frozen variety, slopped on a plate, and covered in canned tomato sauce. My seafood fettucini wasn't any different as bland frozen seafood chunks swam in a thin sauce reminiscent of ragu.
I realized my after-dinner fare (coffee and dessert) was going to be as cr@p as the food when staring down the coffee pots steaming for over an hour. YOU CAN'T CLAIM AUTHENTIC ITALIANA AND SERVE BURNT COFFEE. It was only 7:15 and they had "ran" out of cannoli (forgot to thaw). Luckily a gelato shop down the street (villa dolce) supplied me with the only thing delicious I got to eat this evening.
The prices are high. Real high. Higher than anything else in the area. This is what earned Vin Santo it's sterling 2 star review.
Summary: Go somewhere else.
