  • I really wanted to like this place. It seemed like a perfect hole in the wall/hidden gem kind of place. However, after a 2.5 hour lunch, I left Oyster Bar feeling just meh. I went on a Tuesday around 1PM. There were maybe 7 people ahead of my party of two, and we ended up waiting an hour to be seated. Once seated, it took another full hour for our food to be prepared. We ordered a dozen oysters and the combo pan roast. Their oysters are pretty cheap - $17 for a dozen, but they aren't chucked super well (parts of the oyster still remained on the shell), and they also seem very dirty presentation wise. Honestly, I have to say some of them looked almost gross because of how it was chucked. They tasted okay though I suppose. As for the pan roast, I really didn't see anything special about it. It's basically some seafood with a lot of tomato cream sauce. The seafood was fresh, but I think you can easily recreate the sauce with some jarred pasta sauce and heavy cream. I think the best part about the whole thing was watching the chef prepare the food right in front of us. The food itself though...it wasn't bad, but I don't really think it's worth the wait either. Sorry, Oyster Bar!
