  • I'm new in town and I love this place. Being from Colorado it blows my mind that you can taste wine in a market! The Gentleman who was guiding me was super sweet, accommodating, and fun, if I hadn't had a party to rush off too, I could've spent hours learning from him. When I said I like French wines... he knew right where to guide me, and the Rose I chose was not pricey but delicious. It was fun and not pretentious. Plus they have nice specialty items, food, soaps and such... I don't find them over blown in price, I mean, yeah, duh it's not Walmart (thank God) ... but nice variety and you pay for what you get. The people who work there seem happy to...you know... be working there... The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is because I went in shortly before closing and asked for a small cup of decaf coffee. I was happy they had a little left so I didn't end up at Starbucks... the thing is... I've spent my 39 years (or the vast majority of them) working in the service industry... He said it plainly that the coffee had been sitting all day and he was about to throw it out. Which was fine with me, I just wanted something hot that wouldn't keep me up all night. But why charge me for it? I'm going to be a very good customer and I'm happy to spend money on your nice items, and your mundane items in your lovely store. Coffee going down the drain, why not gratis? Just a suggestion as a way to make local customers feel welcome and valued. Not as a penny pinching bitch looking for free shit.
