  • Yuck. I stopped going to this place because I felt like I was doing THEM a favour by going there. Then, on a Sunday I really needed my nails cut and the shellac removed. My regular place is closed Sundays in winter., so I decided to go to #Aphrodite. They have at least 5 different sorts of polishes, all of which have different pricing and different life spans, which is confusing - especially if you're on a budget. And they are #less than #helpful with the costing. They don't have any electric devices to help loosen the shellac, so I sat for 10 minutes with my fingers soaking in polish remover. Gina was the person who did my nails. She was a #bitch, for starters, kept trying to position my hand / fingers in a way that was contorted for me, and she #hacked my #cuticles. She did not say thank you for the tip I left her and when I got home hours later, not only did my polish chip, the corresponding NAIL flaked off, which caused the #polish to #chip. I detest this place, and with all the other options in the #Leaside area, I'll never go there again. Funny, with all the #polish prices, a #basic #manicure is the #same #price even if you DON'T have polish!! #nodeals. #gougers
