  • Having dealt with Freeman Formalwear the month prior as a groomsman, I wasn't keen on using this seemingly ubiquitous chain for my wedding. Not only did FF have suits straight out of the 90s (we're talking parachute pants here, people), but the customer service was downright incompetent (wrong colour ordered, no knowledge about how suits should actually fit). So, I was on the hunt for a better option. Enter: Gorman's Menswear. Dropping by their Church St. shop on a friend's recommendation, owner Chris and goateed new guy Brad were friendly and approachable. They clearly knew what they were talking about, and were keen to discuss the suits and options available. I brought along the soon-to-be-wed Decider of All Things Wedding, and she gave the rental suit two thumbs up after modeling it for her. On cut alone, the suit was a huge step up over FF's offering. Gorman's website is blissfully clean and easy to navigate: suit styles and prices are easy to view and compare. And conveniently for those groomsmen that can't come in person to get measured, you can login to your account and enter the measurements remotely. Technology - good stuff. Finally, Gorman's was even cheaper than FF price-wise. Definitely check these guys out for your next special event.
