  • I've been coming to AZ88 since 2000 and it continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley. The quality of the food has never disappointed nor have the always knowledgeable bartenders. If you like salads, the 88 offers several tasty options, with my favorite being the Cobb Salad. The blue cheese they use on their salads and in their dressing is always excellent. For appetizers, I recommend the Gallettes or Hell Fire Chips (excellent waffle fries!) Their burgers and chicken sandwiches are all excellent, as is the BLT. Plus, there aren't too many places that serve a sandwich with a side of waffle fries AND fresh fruit. A little fresh Cantaloupe and Pineapple with a sandwich really adds to a meal and sets AZ88 apart from most bar/restaurants. If drinks are in order, AZ 88 continues to serve up the best tasting Moscow Mule and Dark and Stormy in the Valley. They don't have draft beer, but their bar staff is too knowledgeable to not have them make an excellent martini or mixed drink for you. The bar area is gorgeous and runs the length of the space and provides an excellent vantage point for people watching. *Tip 1* Planning an Old Town pub crawl and need a place to line your stomach and kick the day off? AZ88's food is excellent and inexpensive and the drinks....one Dark and Stormy will kick off your pub crawl day in a good way. **Tip 2** The artwork above the bar changes throughout the year, but I highly recommend you check it out during the Christmas season. ***Tip 3*** If you're new to AZ88 or have brought someone that is, send them on an adventure to find the bathroom!!!
