| - Taste has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the Heights area. We've been a few times now, both as a date night and with parents visiting from out of town, and we've had a great experience with each visit.
The interior is modern and pretty without being pretentious or stuffy. It's also pretty quiet, which is a major plus since crowd noise is a dealbreaker for a few of our family members. Service has been excellent every time, and we've never had a bad meal. I'm very partial to the pappardelle with its delicious sausage and mushroom red sauce. I finally branched out to the chicken saltimbocca last time, and it was delicious as well. Other items that have gotten positive reviews at our table have included the filet napoleon (apparently the potato pancake is especially tasty), calamari appetizer, beet salad, red snapper, and various specials.
It's not exactly a cheap night out, but prices are low considering the quality; my favorite item is $21 for a very generous portion of pasta, and the most expensive item on the menu is $32. The wine list is good, and they have a good selection of mixed drinks as well. They take reservations and are currently on Reso. There is a metered parking lot around the corner (change only, no cards), as well as harder-to-find street parking.
Definitely recommended for a nice night out in one of suburbia's trendier neighborhoods.
