| - Ah, Fogo de chao... you never disappoint!
I've been to several of your locations across the county and tried the (only!) AZ location last night, for my delight.
Compared to other Fogo locations , this location is small and tables feel a bit cramped on top of each other. This is NOT a place for a dim-light, low-noise, romantic date. This place is bright, full, lively and full of that awesome Brazilian energy. We are loud people anyways.
Skip the buffet. Maybe pick a leaf or two of lettuce, but focus on what matters the most, which is the amazing variety and quality of meat. The meat is GOOD. If you are planning on going to a regular steakhouse and pay $50 for a cut of filet, better go to Fogo and pay $55 to try all cuts of steak you want! Medium rare top sirloin (picanha) and garlic sirloin and the bomb, btw. You will be happy and you will be full.
You will be interrupted a million times because the meat keeps coming. And keep coming. And there's always someone checking on you, so expect to be interrupted mid-sentence a bazillion times. It is what it is. The customer service in this location is top notch. I felt like everyone was checking on us through the night to make sure we had everything we need. I felt very well taken care.
As a Brazilian, it was also very refreshing to speak in Portuguese with so many super friendly servers and service staff. Our server was Karina and she was an angel through the night, excellent service, personable, amazing. The managers or maître (not sure the labels there) were also amazing and attentive. And then we also had the caipirinha artist, Vince. Vince made us tableside caipirinhas that were probably the best I've had. And I've had a few in my life. Caipirinha was so good and well made I forgot to eat after my first sip. I just wanted to drink lol
Don't skip the pao de queijo, I've had at least 8. That's what I eat when I go to Fogo: pão de queijo, caipirinha and steak. What else do you need?
With that exceptional service and amazing quality, this is the place to go. And I'll definitely go back!
