| - I purchased a 2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI from Unionville Volkswagen, but I was not happy when I brought the car in for its first service check. I had purchased a new GPS unit, that was actually recommended from my salesperson, but the service advisor was berating me that I shouldn't be buying and installing a unit like that because it will affect the warranty, blah, blah, blah. Also a few days prior, someone scuffed against the rear right bumper, and he just shook his head. This guy certainly could use a course in public relations. Anyways, I took my VW to Volkswagen MidTown when the engine light came on and they fixed the problem, free of charge as the vehicle is still under warrant. However they were friendly, and no hassles. I had to bring my VW in to perform recall 23Q3 for the emissions control software. I telephoned a week ago to make an appointment and was pleasantly greeted on the telephone. Today when I went there at 11:00 a.m., I was greeted by Service Advisor Dempsey Highfield. He was very pleasant, and made me feel respected. When I told him, I'll wait for the service to be compleated, he showed me to the customer waiting area. There is coffee, tea, water, available there, also private desk areas for me to use my laptop. The two hours just flew by, and Dempsey came by twice to give me an update on my vehicle. Very professional and great atmosphere in the entire building. Thank you Dempsey, and will see you soon for my next recall update!
