| - An amazing bookshop in Downtown Las Vegas!
I believe that I found out about this place from one of Marlon's check ins. Then, I read reviews by Aline, Terri, and Stefany. I saw photos of Baron, the bunny, and I knew I just had to go and visit!
I walked about 0.7 miles from my hotel, down Fremont Street in sunny 91 degree weather. I stayed under the shade (like the Fremont Street Experience) when possible. There were interesting murals and artwork along the way, so I was entertained by things such as the Praying Mantis of the Downtown Container Park and the giant yellow Fire Hydrant of The Hydrant Club.
A cheerful pastel wall greeted me at first. The smiling faces of the characters was a great reward for discovering a cool business! The Writer's Block not only sell books, but also carry toys, stationary, clothing, puzzles, etc. Of course, I had to look for Baron, the bunny mascot of the store! He was taking a nap, then later popped up to have a snack! I was thrilled!
If you have time and are in the neighborhood, I suggest that you stop in and have a look! You might find something for yourself or a gift for someone!
