| - I've been a cox customer since 2001 and before that, all there was for internet service was dial-up. Internet service has been mostly reliable throughout the years, but the cost has risen continually. I recently decided that cable TV service was something I wanted to get ride of, since it seems that 1/3 of the content is advertising. About a month ago, I returned all of my cable TV equipment, but COX continued to bill me for TV service. I called them but they were completely uncooperative, so I had no choice but to have my bank stop payment. They finally appeared to adjust my account, but of course they are charging me a $25 fee for stop payment.
The problem with COX is; they have no competitors, so they just continue to over charge for their service. We all need to have some sort of internet access these days and COX, being the monopoly takes advantage of it's customers. I see a lot of one star reviews, so it's obvious that COX doesn't care and probably will never even read this, but here it is anyway.
