I came here to celebrate my mother's birthday, and well we had to do it pretty big. There's some things you just have to get here, and it should be required. I think if you're going to spend money on sushi and normal items that you can get anywhere else...you can, but just know there are a lot of other things on the menu that you're missing out. Let's just say I didn't do much ordering, as my brother mostly had that on lock since he knew what was good and wasn't.
What did we eat... Good question. Let's just say it was an assortment of food and the quality were all great. I'll go through each photo, but to be honest, the otoro is what you should look at getting (the picture that's on the ice). I think that dish is amazing especially just the experience of it. There are all these other options as well, but to me that one stood out.
The restaurant is a little dark, but it's going for the lounge/romantic setting which I understand. We sat upstairs next to the bar and it was pretty comfortable. If you're looking for a good solid sushi/japanese restaurant and it's for a special occasion, I would definitely suggest that Baku would be on that list.
