Taco Tuesday! We went in for a little bit of a late dinner and it wasn't terribly busy. You order at the counter and they bring your order out to your table. All tacos come plain and you add your toppings at the salsa bar.
We ordered -
Al pastor - they ask if you want pineapple added to the taco. We tried with and without and it's so much better with! The meat is tender, juicy, and flavorful. A must try!
Asada - meat was tender with a nicely charred outside, good seasoning
Shrimp - decent amount of shrimp, had grilled onions which was a nice addition, the slaw on top was refreshing
Carnitas - meat was moist and tender
Chorizo - was a bit salty for my liking
Chicken Quesadilla - tons of cheese and big chunks of grilled chicken in it. Really good for something so simple.
The salsa bar had the basics - cilantro, onions, pickled carrots, limes, and a few different salsas. The reddish-orange salsa was our favorite. It had a smoky flavor but wasn't spicy at all.
The menu is huge and they have specials. The cashier told me Wednesday's are BOGO for the al pastor tacos so I'll be sure to take advantage of that deal next time.
