  • Went here with my wife after shopping @ fairview mall on Sunday night. Drove by this restaurant and immediately noticed that this 'Calabria' replaced the Joe Maggiano's. Store front looks appealing from outside and it says "restaurant and lounge". -Waited for 10 minutes for a hostess to seat us even though restaurant wasn't busy whatsoever -A server saw us and seated us right away after realizing that we waited for so long to be seated -Decorations is no big deal; cheap table and chair. -We got a tomato soup and chicken creamy asparagus soup for appetizers. To be honest, they both tasted like they used CAMPBELL can soup. It was both watery and salty. No breads or cracker were provided. -We got stone baked asiago pizza and chicken & seafood on rice. I am not even joking, the pizza tasted like as if it was stomped on the kitchen floor, it was soggy and not at all crunchy. Toppings on the pizza are cheap and not remotely fresh. The chicken & seafood entree was extremely bad too. Rice was extremely dry, the shrimp wasn't fresh and the chicken tasted like rubber. We didn't want to complain to the server because she actually provided good service; checking up on us every 10 - 15 minutes. We figured its not her fault, the problem is the BAD CHEF! They shouldn't be allowed to cook @ all; I eat out a lot and this restaurant is THE WORST I've ever eaten. Definitely not recommend it to anyone. Let's put it this way, if i can get a coupon for free appetizer or entree or dessert at this place; I would tear up the coupon. Waiting time for food is actually pretty long; coz the restaurant was definitely understaffed. We didn't bother ordering dessert, since we consider it to be it too risky. This is the first review i'm writing on yelp, the quality of this restaurant's food leaves me no choice but to warn other people to stay away from this place.
