This is a very solid 3.5. Toronto really needs more places like Tutti Matti: fairly priced, scratch-made, reasonably authentic Italian food in a comfortable, unpretentious, casual setting. No posers (thinking of Buca), no hipsters, no white tablecloths.
The pastas and main courses alike were very good. Not exceptional, but well above average. Only real disappointment was my affogato, which was mostly a watery mess and the "gelato" seemed more like Haagen-Dazs ice cream.
Also, by-the-glass pours are some of the smallest I've seen.
