| - I contacted Clean Team to clean my vacant house before we moved in. It was in need of a deep clean because the last owners were not the cleanest people to say the least. I set up an appointment with the owner, April and was quoted between $120 and $150 for my 1800 square footage. I was told the house would be deep cleaned including all light fixtures, inside cabinets and drawers, inside window sills etc. I was also informed there would be two employees sent for an unlimited amount of time.
On the day of my appointment I received a text fifteen minutes after my appointment time of 10am informing me that the employee would be about an hour late. I was quite disappointed but tried to remain understanding and did not complain. When they didn't show up at 11:15am I called April and was informed that the house scheduled before mine was much dirtier than they expected and that they will be even later to my house. I informed her that was not my fault and now I am the customer that is inconvenienced. She then told me she would not be able to arrive to my house until 2pm. That was four whole hours later than my original appointment. I informed her that is not how you run a business and that I need some sort of compensation. She agreed to do the cleaning for $100 total, I agreed.
April arrived promptly at 2pm and was very friendly. I showed her around and informed her exactly what needed to be cleaned. She said no problem and she would have a second employee coming to assist her. I then left her to work and received a call 30 minutes prior to her finishing. When I arrived 30 minutes later, April was still the only person cleaning my house. Sher informed me her other employee "went to the next job". So she was left to clean my 1800 square foot house by herself which took her three hours.
Upon taking a look at her job, I was beyond disappointed.
The cabinets still had sticky residue on the doors, there was still built up grime on the inside of the cabinets, the toilets were still filthy, my guest bathroom shower wasn't even wet so there was no way she cleaned that, my master shower door still had a ton of build up, and there was no way the light fixtures were even touched.
I began to express my concerns to April who at first addressed them and then began to become defensive. I even began to clean along side her to help get it done faster. She got an attitude while doing the areas that were very obvious she skipped over or did carelessly. After I addressed about three concerns she stated "this is the last thing I am doing and then I'm leaving". Really? I am a paying customer that expects a clean house from a cleaning service. Not asking for much in my opinion.
Not only was Clean Team four hours late, they did an absolutely horrible job "cleaning" my house. I could have done a far better job myself and saved the $100. I also am very disappointed that I did not receive what I was promised. Not only did one employee clean my house rather than the two, it was definitely NOT a deep clean at all. Furthermore, if this is how the owner cleans and does business, I would definitely not want to see how her employees operate. I would highly not recommend Clean Team and suggest looking elsewhere when hiring a cleaning company.
