| - Got the blue burger at the bar. Ordered it medium (comes out pink but not raw). They brought it out after about 20 minutes. The burger looked great (see photo). As for the taste, I was underwhelmed. Given this burger is about the blue cheese, I was surprised how little blue cheese flavor came through. Certain bites showcased the cheese and figgy jam nicely, but too many did not. Like the cheese, I wanted more jam than what was provided.
The meat itself was okay. If you want a juicer burger, you may want to try it medium rare. For a gourmet burger, I found it fairly generic.
The bun was solid. Not spectacular, but fresh, tasty, and the multicolored sesame seeds were nice.
I paid ~$21 total with tax and tip. My burger was $16.
Takeaways:
-if I could do it again I'd order the forest burger (I'm a fan of mushrooms and bacon on burgers, and the duck bacon sounded good)
-worth trying for the experience, and the menu has several burger options, but don't expect to be blown away
