  • Komol is another find at a seedy looking strip mall, and is one of two Thai restaurants within the vicinity. I didn't want to choose one over the other, as both are rated highly. But with gluten on the menu, Komol was obviously more veg friendly, and became the clear choice for me. And that's where the restaurant excels at. A couple of pad thai dishes ordered, but like vultures, all the meat eaters at the table seemed to be flocking towards my plate of orange gluten, which was more like sesame chicken in smaller pieces (think, popcorn chicken). The nutty brown rice and fried sweet potato were also a hit. Our server advised us that they secured a distributor in Cali, and to expect to see the expansion of faux meat items on the menu, like beef and chicken, next year...All the more reason to return.
